The Vanessa Upside Down Challenge

While I may not post to the VANESSAtarian as much as a die hard fan should, I am leaving you this year with the ultimate Vanessa challenge.  If you are as much of a fan as I am, not only can you survive this Vanessa challenge, but you can survive it multiple times in a row all while dancing the entire time!!  UPSIDE DOWN AND DIZZY DOES IT MAKE ME...IN LOVE!!!!

In honor of my dear bestie Walter, here's Vanessa's other 1982 single, "CHEERIO"!  This is his favorite Vanessa song and he described these videos as "an audio-visual orgy of colors and beats!"  I could not agree more!!  The costumes, the bouncing bridge, the hair...oh this video is as joyous as this amazing song!!  You'll get to hear this song in one of Walter's upcoming short films...Vanessa is an inspiration to all!!!

Vanessa Is My OBSESSION!

"Obsession" is the name of Vanessa's 2nd "album" and one of Vanessa's biggest hits!  Needless to say, I was obsessed the minute I first laid eyes (and ears) on Vanessa and my obsession only grew as I delved deeper and deeper into her pop hit storm!!

Vanessa - The 2nd Chapter - Dynamite

It actually took me a few days before I listened to any Vanessa song other than "Upside Down".  It brought me utter delight when I finally did choose another song, and that song was "Dynamite"!  This song, oh this song is MAGIC!!  The A-B-C's of Vanessa are truly divine (and almost as good as Amanda Lear's!)  And at the 0:54 mark in the video, Vanessa buzzing down the street atop a shiny motorcycle...nothing is more POP!!  Oh to be a new student in the School of Vanessa, majoring in VANESSA!!!  I am in LOVE!
